EA apparently asks people if they want a remake of Dead Space 2 or 3 End-shutdown

Following the release of the Dead Space remake and its positive reception, EA is apparently asking select fans if they’d like to see a Dead Space 2 or 3 remake next.

As reported by euro Player, the survey in question was shared in Dillon Rogers Twitter, a developer at Gloomwood, and simply asks, “How interested would you be in a similar remake of Dead Space 2 (2011)?” and “How interested would you be in a similar remake of Dead Space 3 (2013)?”

It’s a pretty standard question with answers ranging from “not at all interested” to “extremely interested,” but it shows that EA is at least considering the idea. It shouldn’t surprise anyone, but it’s always good to see these questions being asked.

Rogers’ tweet reached resetERA, and fans began to chime in with their own opinions. Many are in favor of a Dead Space 2 remake, but there’s a little more fear for one for Dead Space 3.

“[Dead Space] 3 needs to be completely reimagined to remove the crafting mechanic and possibly redo some story beats so you don’t have as much story content from that game locked behind co-op and what character you’re playing as,” ResetERA user Jersey_Tom wrote. . of that game was ruined due to EA’s meddling through microtransactions and the misconception that Dead Space fans were interested in a RE5-style cooperative experience.

“A full remake would be quite a task to make the game stand out. But I definitely agree with others that a Dead Space 2 remake is a sure money maker.”

We gave Dead Space 2 a 9/10 in 2011 and Dead Space 3 a 7.8/10 in 2013. While we said the release of Dead Space 2 meant “survival horror has a new gold standard,” we did say that Dead Space 3 was a “fiercely good time, despite itself”.

In our Dead Space Remake review, we said it’s “an excellent remake and certainly the ultimate way to experience one of the best survival horror shooters Capcom ever made.”

However, it may be some time before we see any of these remakes, as Dead Space remake developer EA Motive recently announced that it was working on an Iron Man game.
