The 2000s fashion revival is everywhere: on red carpets, on TV shows, on TikTok streams, on the runways. And no one embodies the essence of 2000s style better than Paris Hilton. His meteoric rise to fame was considered a sign of the times; Hilton’s witty catchphrases, paparazzi shots, and over-the-top fashion were emblematic of the era. From his vast collection of velor tracksuits to his dangerously low-cut jeans, Hilton owned the ultimate 2000s wardrobe, and now he’s looking back with a one-day pop-up with Klarna called “House of Y2K.” Debuting in Los Angeles, CA on Friday, February 24, the three-story activation will explore the evolution of 2000s shopping trends, while also featuring her signature looks from the decade.

“It was hard to narrow it down to just a few outfits for the pop-up, as there were so many fun looks from that era with amazing memories attached,” the 42-year-old media personality tells POPSUGAR, “like the iconic silver chainmail dress. mesh skirt I wore to my 21st birthday party or the jean miniskirt I wore promoting the first season of ‘The Simple Life’ with Nicole [Richie].”

The pop-up store also coincides with the launch of a limited-edition tracksuit with net proceeds going to Hilton’s nonprofit organization. 11:11 Impact on the media, a charity created to defend the rights of women and children around the world. “The velor tracksuit is so iconic to Y2K, and since the campaign is about how Klarna has helped shopping evolve, we also wanted to launch an upgraded version of the tracksuit,” Hilton explains. “Since the 2000s were all about trying new looks and playing with fashion, we had to add tons of sparkle for a major piece. I love it.”

Hilton says the tracksuit is her 2000s-inspired look she’s worn the most since welcoming her first child. “I spent a lot of time in my favorite staple that’s also the most comfortable outfit in my closet: velor tracksuits,” she reveals.

Later, Hilton talks to POPSUGAR about her favorite fashion trends of the 2000s, the memories attached to her “House of Y2K” outfits, and what she hopes to pass down to her son. Read on for our full interview, and keep scrolling to shop the new Paris Hilton x Klarna tracksuit.
