It’s funny what everyone thinks the F stands for in SILENT HILL F… (I also have an ongoing bet on what fans think it is)February 25, 2023
The answers? As you might expect, responses range from the brilliant to the mind-boggling and include guesses like strong, five, flower, festival, forbidden, fear, faith, frame, fragment, mushroom, feudal, and fierce.
Other less serious responses include Florida, Fortnite, fajita, and “finally-a-good-one.”

Speaking of which: Silent Hill fans have stumbled upon secret messages hidden inside the audio (opens in a new tab) accompanying a trailer for another of the upcoming Silent Hill games, Silent Hill: City Fall (opens in a new tab)a new game developed by the developer of Stories Untold No Code.
As we reported in its announcement, the reveal trailer focuses on a broadcast received on a small portable TV, with someone warning that punishment and judgment are on the way. There are numerous quick clips of haunting footage and some images that suggest a coastal setting.
Since then, however, someone has extracted the audio from the Townfall trailer, converted it to MP3, and discovered that “there is text in the spectrogram.”
As it turns out, the sneak peek concealed the utterly disturbing statement: “Whatever heart this city had now stopped.”
